As many of you know, I abhor spam. Unfortunately, what is spam and what is not is up for interpretation -- it's certainly not black and white. Therefore, I have created a new forum to hold any and all ads. It's simply called The Spam Zone (I would have given it a clever name, but it's really not a humorous subject for me, and I don't want any confusion on this issue).

I will be perusing this board and moving any topic I consider to be spam (see guidelines below) into that forum, as long as it's dated before today. If any new spam is added to this board in any other forum than The Spam Zone, it will be deleted. As always, I welcome opinions on this matter, but I am fairly adamant about this.

So, what do I consider Spam, and what is not?

Not Spam: Occasional information about a cool site that has somewhat related material, and gives no benefit to the author. For instance, a pointer to a site selling lightsabers by someone that does not have a vested interest in that site.

Spam: Your very first post to the board telling us all about your new messageboard.

Not Spam: A short post telling us what you liked about the movie, then asking if anyone wants to buy your collection of Spider-Man figures.

Not Spam: Anything in your signature (but only if it's tasteful and doesn't take up too much real estate. Use your best judgement).

Spam: 14 posts about your ebay auction, with no significant content to add to our community.

Ultimate Spin retains the right to choose what is and is not considered spam, as well as the right to delete any post we feel does not meet our guidelines. If you are unsure if your post is spam, simply put it in The Spam Zone.

If you have any questions, feel free to email us at admin@ultimatespin.com.

Thank you.
